Our events calendar features road rides, mountain bike rides, fat bike rides, gravel rides, plus other cycling and non-cycling related events. Non-members are invited to share in a ride with us before joining. Vacationers and part-time residents are always welcome. We encourage everyone to ride together for the fitness and camaraderie that cycling provides. With CCCC you're sure to find a ride you are comfortable with so come prepared to HAVE GREAT FUN.

Mission Statement

Mission: To promote a cycling community as part of a healthy lifestyle.

This mission shall be accomplished by:

  • conducting rides and other bicycling events
  • providing social opportunities for members
  • promoting bicycle safety
  • supporting local, state, and national bicycling and trail organizations
  • advocating for increased cycling support among the public, government agencies and elected officials

Signature Tours

We take great pride in offering the best bicycle tours in Northern Michigan for the past 40 years - the very popular Ride Around Torch on the third Sunday in July and the Leelanau Harvest Tour on the second Saturday in September. The combination of outstanding scenic roads and wonderful volunteers makes for very memorable riding. As an all-volunteer, non-profit organization the proceeds generated by these 2 events allow us to meet our operational needs while funding our regional grants program.

Social Events

One of the primary benefits of club membership is the opportunity for social interaction! Perennial gatherings such as our Spring Kickoff, Summer Picnic and the End of Summer Pancake Breakfast rides are always well attended.  In addition to riding together regularly we also host a variety of non-cycling events throughout the year.  Be sure to check our Events Calendar or the latest Newsletter to find out what's happening.

Time-Honored Traditions

In the winter the club Touring Group leaders meet to begin long-term planning of the season's destination rides. The Ride Leader Team training meeting, along with the Spring Picnic Ride kick-off the cycling season in April and May. The Club supports Smart Commute Week in June, and the Tour de TART in July. Then in July and September we hold our two major fund raising events (see Signature Tours). In the fall the cycling season winds down with a dinner honoring volunteers and the annual meeting with election of officers just before the holidays.

Meetings

Our Board of Directors meets the second Wednesday of every month. See the Club calendar for time and location. Club members are encouraged to attend. If you have an issue to present to the board, please submit your agenda item to the President at least one week before the next scheduled meeting.
