Calendar - Event View

New for 2026 is a regular gravel/adventure series, 2-3 times a month on Sunday mornings. Routes will vary from introductory to "spicy", generally running from 15 to 50 miles in length. Terrain will consist of a mix of mostly dirt/gravel, minimal tarmac connecting roads, and occasional sandy sections or singletrack. RwGPS navigation files will be provided for each ride...

For this weeks' ride we'll start out easy, with a 90% gravel loop from the Whitewater Township Village offices in Williamsburg, down Broomhead Rd to the Supply Road junction, and retrace our steps back to the parking lot. We'll pass the Sand Lakes Quiet Area parking lot, which has a pit toilet should a rest stop be necessary. For the gravel curious, or just hoping to shake off some winter cobwebs, this is your ride. On a difficulty scale of 1 to 10, this one is about a 2, and only because of a punchy climb or two.

(Note that my original post referenced another short loop originating from SLQA trailhead, but looking back at my notes it can get a bit spicy, so we'll save it for later in the summer)
